Cavendish Farms Centre represents Phase 1 of the Lethbridge Leisure Centre project and serves as the foundational catalyst for the overall development. The facility carries forward the guiding principles established during the Needs Assessment and Concept Design completed by Group2 in May 2012, translating that vision into a highly functional and community-focused destination for West Lethbridge.
Phase 1 is designed to support a wide range of recreational, cultural, and community activities, anchored by two NHL-sized ice arenas complete with full dressing room facilities and second-level spectator seating. The facility also includes 10 curling sheets, complemented by a traditional curling lounge that overlooks the ice, as well as flexible multi-purpose community spaces that support year-round programming and events.
Group2 collaborated with Ferrari Westwood Babits Architects in the successful completion of this project.
