 Group2 Architecture Interior Design Ltd. (Group2) is a firm focused on using collaborative techniques to deliver value to clients in the recreational, educational, commercial and health care sectors. Group2 was established in Red Deer in 1985 and has studios in Red Deer, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Ottawa. 

 Our Edmonton Studio is currently looking for an experienced Senior Technologist/PM who is highly motivated and detailed oriented. The ideal candidate will have a breadth of experience in corporate, commercial, institutions, healthcare, education and recreation projects. 

In your role as Senior Architectural Technologist/Project Manager you will: 

  • Lead/work closely with the project team throughout the entire design process on projects. 
  • Facilitate project administration through all project phases. 
  • Provide leadership to the project team regarding quality assurance and quality control. 
  • Undertake the preparation of required contract documents, minutes, and schedules. 
  • Attend on-site visits and field reviews and direct contractors and vendors as required. 
  • Identify and solve technical and design issues 
  • Monitor internal budgets/ coordinate and schedule internal resources to achieve milestones 
  • Represent the firm in a professional manner. 
  • Achieve goals in line with the vision of the firm. 

Qualifications and Skill Set: 

  • Graduate from a recognized Architectural Technology program. 
  • Ten + years’ experience in a senior position. Canadian experience required. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Revit is required. 
  • Expert knowledge in energy code and building envelope assemblies is an asset. 
  • Organized and able to work under time constraints. 
  • Proficient with building envelope detailing. 
  • Flexible and able to work with a variety of project teams. 
  • Ability to mentor and direct junior team members. 
  • Strong written and oral skills in English are required.
