SERVICE ALBERTA BUILDINGLocation: Edmonton, AB |
The purpose of the Service Alberta Building Renovation was to redevelop an existing building for the accommodation of 200 staff in a high density office environment. The project has been identified by Alberta Infrastructure to be an innovative showcase for the Government of Alberta (GoA). The project creates an enjoyable and easily adaptable work environment that will attract and retain staff. Both formal and casual meeting spaces are integrated throughout the work areas. The project includes indoor and exterior amenity spaces to address health and wellness requirements, which include lunch room, recreation room, coffee bars in work areas and landscaped lunch area. These spaces facilitate informal staff interaction and accommodate break away from daily work activities. The design utilizes sustainable design principals and facilitates the principles of the “BOMA Go Green” and LEED® initiatives. |
