Recently, MasterFormat 2004 has been updated. Major changes include an entirely new division (Division 46–Water and Wastewater Equipment), revisions to Division 44–Pollution and Waste Control Equipment, and sections related to polished concrete. The changes found in MasterFormat 2010 Update are the first under a new annual revision cycle that incorporates suggestions by design/construction professionals.
